Midtown Toronto Dentistry Thanksgiving Hours 2026 (and Tips for a Tooth-Friendly Holiday)

Midtown Toronto Dentistry will be closed on Monday, October 12, 2026, for Canadian Thanksgiving. We reopen on Tuesday, October 13 at 7:30 AM.
Our office at 1849 Yonge Street, Suite 401, across from Davisville Subway Station, will be closed for the long weekend so our team can spend the holiday with family and friends. Thank you for trusting us with your smile. We've been caring for Midtown Toronto families for over 50 years.
Need to book before the long weekend?
If you're due for a check-up or cleaning, or you've noticed something that needs attention, call us at 416-482-7000 before the holiday so we can get you in. Our Midtown Toronto dental team offers:
5 tips to protect your teeth this Thanksgiving
Watch the hard foods. Nuts in shells, ice, hard candies, and bones can crack or chip teeth. Use a nutcracker rather than your teeth.
Go easy on sticky sweets. Caramel, candied yams, and toffee cling to teeth longer than most foods. Rinse with water afterward.
Sip smart. Wine, cider, and sparkling drinks can be acidic or sugary. Have water alongside them.
Floss after the big meal. Turkey and other stringy foods often get stuck between teeth.
Keep up your routine. Brush twice and floss once daily, even on a busy holiday.
What to do if you have a dental emergency over Thanksgiving
Dental problems don't always wait for office hours. If you have a toothache, chipped tooth, or lost filling while we're closed:
Rinse gently with warm water.
Apply a cold compress to the outside of your cheek for swelling.
Save any broken tooth pieces.
Call our office at 416-482-7000 and leave a message, and we'll respond as soon as we reopen on Tuesday, October 13 at 7:30 AM.
If you have severe swelling, trouble breathing or swallowing, or bleeding that won't stop, go to the nearest hospital emergency department or call 911.
We always do our best to squeeze in emergencies and get patients out of pain. Learn more on our emergency dentist page.
